Town Creek runs black and slow through Brunswick County, and the longleaf pines above it drop needles across half the yards in Bolivia. Spring starts early here — by March the grass is already asking for its first cut, and it does not stop asking until November. Each visit is the same plain routine: mow even, trim the edges square, and clear the drive and walk before leaving. Sandy soil means the mower rides differently than it does inland, and knowing that is half of getting a clean finish. From Bolivia the route reaches out toward Winnabow, Supply, Southport and the Oak Island road.
