Black Creek Lawn

About Black Creek Lawn

Black Creek slips out of the flat Johnston County farmland in no particular hurry, and the sandy loam it drains grows grass the way it grows everything else, enthusiastically. Black Creek Lawn keeps up with it around Benson: mowing and edging on schedule, trimming fencelines and mailbox posts, feeding and seeding so the turf holds through August. Summer evenings out here are all cicadas and heat still lifting off the pavement, and a lawn cut that morning stands up sharp in the low light. Come autumn the leaves come down and get cleared, the beds get mulched, and the yard goes into winter tidy. Simple work, repeated on time, changes how a house looks from the street.
