The Bearded Landscaper

About The Bearded Landscaper

A thaw in the middle of a Jackson County winter is not a gift; it is a warning that everything wet at four will be glass by seven. The Bearded Landscaper plans around that in and around Barkers Creek, plowing the storm out and then coming back at the end of the day to salt the low spots where meltwater always finds its way. Driveways get cleared corner to corner, garage aprons squared off, and the stretch between car door and house door treated like it matters, because on an icy night it does. Hollows here hold cold long after the ridgetops let go, so the shaded half of a drive gets extra grit and extra attention. The whole point is an ordinary morning: keys, car, road, gone.
