Vista Ridge

About Vista Ridge

Half the yards up here end at a view. The ground gives out past the back steps and falls away toward the coves, so a lawn in Flat Creek is really a terrace — held in place by grass, kept in shape by somebody willing to walk the steep parts. Vista Ridge handles exactly that: mowing on the grade, trimming around retaining walls and rock outcrops, edging the drive that switchbacks up from the road, hauling clippings clear. On a bright morning you can see ridge behind ridge behind ridge from the top of the cut. Finish the last pass, shut the machine off, and for a minute the only sound is wind moving up the mountain.
