RAY'S LAWN CARE

About RAY'S LAWN CARE

First light in Asheville arrives sideways, sliding down off Beaucatcher and across the dew before the town is properly awake. RAY'S LAWN CARE is already out in it — mowing, string trimming, edging along walks and drives, and blowing every clipping off the concrete before the truck moves on. In Kenilworth and down toward Biltmore Village the yards are old and shaded, and a lawn there wants a lighter hand and a sharper blade. When autumn comes and the poplars drop all at once, the leaves are gathered and gone before they mat down over the grass. Mowing, trimming and cleanup work, week after week, around Asheville.
