Reid's Lawn & Tree Service

About Reid's Lawn & Tree Service

Late-summer afternoons in the Andrews valley build a thunderhead over the Nantahala ridges, and the rain comes down hard and brief and leaves everything steaming. Reid's Lawn & Tree Service moves around that weather — cutting between storms, trimming out along the drive, clearing the wet cuttings from the steps and walk. Yards here are hemmed in by dark green forest, so growth is fast, shade is deep, and leaves come down for weeks on end. Regular mowing and seasonal cleanups keep a place from being swallowed by the woods that surround it. There is a plain reward in the final pass, when the engine cuts off and you can hear water running again.
