J & A Ground Maintenance

About J & A Ground Maintenance

October turns the hardwood ridges around Albright to rust and gold, and every one of those leaves is bound for somebody's lawn. J & A Ground Maintenance works through that season and the ones on either side of it, mowing while the grass still grows and clearing the yard once it stops. Out here a property tends to have a mowed part, a wild part, and a hard-won border in between, and holding that border is the job. A yard raked out smooth beneath a bare oak, the turf showing green again, is worth the whole afternoon it takes. Frost reaches the low fields soon after, and the work rests until spring.
