About D & J Lawn & Landscaping

Piedmont clay turns brick-red after a rain and holds a shovel print for a week, which makes it stubborn ground and, once you have learned it, dependable ground. D & J Lawn & Landscaping takes on both sides of an Albemarle yard: the weekly cut, trim and edge, and the landscaping underneath it — beds shaped, shrubs kept in bounds, mulch pulled back to a clean line. Spring is when the difference announces itself, a dark bed edge running against new fescue like something ruled on paper. The mowing keeps a place tidy; the planting is what makes it look like somebody's. Both matter, and they finish the same way — everything blown off the concrete before the truck pulls out.
