In May the snowfields on St. Mary's Peak begin to let go, and everything downhill of them — creeks, ditches, headgates — comes alive at once. Ace Irrigation & Landscape Inc starts its year in that same rush, opening systems up, chasing the winter's cracked fittings, resetting heads that frost shoved sideways since October. From there the season broadens into landscape work: beds shaped, plantings set where the water will actually reach them, lawns held even through the long dry stretch of August. There is real pleasure in standing at the end of a zone test and watching a whole yard get its share — no dry corner, no drowned low spot. The valley floor from Stevensville south to Corvallis is home ground.
