ZJ Landscaping, LLC runs a route that climbs from the flats to the benches above Miller Creek and Linda Vista, where the lots stretch long and the grass meets bunchgrass and ponderosa at the fence line. The week is built on mowing, trimming, edging and feeding, bracketed by the two big cleanups that open and close a Montana summer. Up toward Pattee Canyon the needles fall all year, and a lawn has to be raked out from under the pines before it can breathe. Done right, the last cut of the season leaves a place tidy enough to shut the gate on until spring.
