Virid Lawn Care

About Virid Lawn Care

Virid is an old word for green, and it earns its keep in the Rattlesnake, where September turns the cottonwoods along Greenough Park to yellow and the larch on the high slopes to gold. A lawn that holds its color into that light is worth the attention it takes — the right feeding, the aeration that lets autumn rain find the roots, weeds taken out of the picture before they set seed. Virid Lawn Care mows on a rhythm, trims the corners a deck rounds off, and hauls the leaves away once the wind off Mount Jumbo finally brings them down. Smoke season is hard on grass in this town, and bringing a yard back from it is most of the job. The payoff is turf still deep and even in October, when almost nothing else in the valley is.
