East of town the Blackfoot comes down out of the timber to meet the Clark Fork at Milltown, and the properties along that corridor sit half in lawn and half in forest. Huckleberry Landscape & Property Services keeps both halves in order — mowing and trimming the open ground, edging the drives, clearing needles and blown leaves out of everything else. Places out that way often stand empty stretches of the week, so a visit is about returning to something tended rather than something that got away. Spring cleanups open a yard back up; fall cleanups put it to bed. In between, a patch of grass ringed by pines that still, unmistakably, reads as a lawn.
