About Lolo Peak Contracting LLC

Lolo Peak holds the last light of a winter afternoon longer than anything else in the valley, its north face catching alpenglow while the town below has already gone blue and cold. Lolo Peak Contracting LLC times its plow runs to that light, clearing driveways and small lots through the afternoon while the peak still throws enough glow to work by before full dark. The mountain marks the southern skyline for the whole lower Bitterroot Valley, and locals still gauge a coming storm by how long it takes cloud to wrap around its summit. Between Lolo and the string of small towns running south toward Stevensville, a cleared driveway under that peak is judged less by the storm just past than the one already visible building over the ridge.
