About HJ Property Care and Tree Services

The timber above Lolo holds its snow differently than the open valley below — ponderosa boughs sag under a load for days at a stretch, and the western larch, gold-needled and bare by November, lets everything through at once when the wind finally hits it. HJ Property Care and Tree Services clears driveways and walkways on the forested lots tucked back on the benches west of town, where a plowed lane still has to duck under branches carrying their own weight of snow. The ridge rising close behind those properties cuts the afternoon sun off early in January, so a cleared driveway here often stays icy longer than one out in the open valley floor. Clearing it well means watching what's overhead as closely as what's underfoot.
