Smith's Backhoe Services

About Smith's Backhoe Services

Above Lincoln, toward Copper Creek and the ridge that marks the Continental Divide, the dawn light comes in flat and cold, catching hillside driveways still buried from the night before. Smith's Backhoe Services works those steep, cut-in approaches with the same equipment it uses to shape building pads the rest of the year, blade dropped low enough to clear packed snow without tearing into ground that took real effort to level in the first place. A driveway on that kind of grade needs the snow pushed well clear of the edge, not just piled alongside where it'll slide back down with the next freeze-thaw cycle. Getting one of those hillside lots open before the household inside needs to leave for work, turning drifted white into a clean, even grade in under an hour, is worth the extra care the grade demands. It's demanding ground to work, high enough on the valley wall to catch weather the town center never sees the same way.
