Keeping a construction site reachable in that kind of winter means plowing the same access road more than once a day sometimes, blade set low enough to find gravel under the drifts without gouging the base underneath. Watching a crew truck make it up a cleared grade that was impassable at daybreak is proof the site kept moving because the road did. It's rugged work, done in the shadow of mountains that don't let up on snow until well into spring.
