About Tim Schertel Tree Service

River fog sits on the Kootenai most mornings in Libby, then lifts to show cedar and larch standing up the slopes toward the Cabinets. Tim Schertel Tree Service works in that timber country, taking down trees leaning over a roof or a lane, trimming crowns back from cabins and outbuildings, pruning so a young pine grows straight into room of its own. Wind runs down the valley in hard bursts and the snow comes off the mountains heavy, so storm damage cleanup is honest and regular work: the drive opened, a broken top cut up, the ground left clear. Out here the woods begin where the yard stops, and that line only holds if somebody keeps it on purpose. A lane opened and the wood stacked by the shed is what a good day leaves behind.
