Handyman for Hire

About Handyman for Hire

In the older blocks near Libby's historic depot, the houses sit close to the street with porch steps that catch drifting snow faster than any driveway does. Handyman for Hire spends a good part of every storm working those steps and short front walks, shoveling down to the boards or concrete so nobody in one of those close-set houses has to test their footing on ice. It's smaller-scale work than plowing a long rural drive, but no less exacting: a porch step iced over is a fall waiting to happen, and clearing it right the first time means salting before the freeze sets back in overnight. Walking away from a block of shoveled steps and swept walks, knowing every neighbor on that street can get their mail or walk their dog without white-knuckling the railing, is reward enough. It's neighborhood-level work, done house by house, in a part of Libby where everyone still knows whose steps are whose.
