A lot they resealed themselves gets plowed with blades set to skim just above the surface, protecting the coating from gouges that a less careful pass might leave behind. Ice control here is as much about the pavement as the people walking on it - de-icer chosen and applied at rates that won't eat into fresh sealcoat, put down early enough that a morning freeze never gets the chance to bond to the asphalt. Striping under the snow gets respected too, plows running the same lanes the lines were painted in, so when spring finally uncovers the lot, the surface underneath is exactly as it was left.
