Double Dog Lawn and Snow

About Double Dog Lawn and Snow

A yard ought to be crossable barefoot, or at least dog-worthy — no ruts, no clumps left behind, nothing sharp underfoot. Double Dog Lawn and Snow works Helena's residential blocks with that standard in mind, mowing so the lawn comes out level and bagging or raking what the deck throws instead of letting it mat. Spring arrives late over by Spring Meadow Lake; the cottonwoods there leaf out weeks after the first warm afternoon has fooled everybody. When the season finally goes, it goes fast, and the first cut on a shaggy lawn is one of the more satisfying jobs in the trade. Edges get trimmed, gates get shut, and the yard is handed back ready to be used.
