Avery's Small Engine Repair and Snow Removal

About Avery's Small Engine Repair and Snow Removal

The garage door goes up before most of the neighborhood is awake, engines from lawnmowers and snowblowers lined up against one wall while Mount Helena holds its shape against a graying sky out the shop window. Avery's Small Engine Repair and Snow Removal spends the season on driveways and walkways around town, working the same residential streets it knows from warmer months fixing the machines that usually do this job. There's something fitting about a shop full of small engines taking care of the snow by hand and blade when the equipment itself sits buried under it. Neighborhood streets here climb and dip more than people expect, and a driveway on a slope needs a different touch than a flat lot downtown. An hour or so later, the ridge above town finally catches full sun, another block of driveways already clean, and the garage bay finally warm enough to get back to fixing what everyone will need running again by spring.
