About Hollow Point Excavating

The Bighorn River cuts a slow, cottonwood-lined path past Hardin, and in the coldest weeks of winter its bottomland fills with a cold that pools and lingers long after the wind up on the bench has died down. Hollow Point Excavating runs the kind of equipment that matters most out here — loaders and blades sized for long farm lanes and grain-elevator yards rather than a single driveway. High plains snow tends to arrive with wind behind it, scouring bare ground on one side of a field and burying a lane on the other in the same storm. Clearing an approach road so a truck can reach the elevator, or a long ranch lane so equipment can move, is different work than clearing a sidewalk, and it takes a different scale of machine. By the time a lane is opened end to end, the river bottom below is often the quietest place in the county.
