The Little Rocky Mountains rise from the prairie at the southern edge of the Fort Belknap Reservation, homeland of the Aaniiih and Nakoda nations, while the Milk River traces its northern line. Between them lies a broad sweep of grassland where the wind is almost always moving and summer comes on fast and bright. Country Landscapes LLC works lawns and landscapes across this wide-open ground, mowing and shaping yards so they hold their own beneath all that sky. A newly mown lawn in early July, its border crisp where grass meets the drive, is a quiet kind of welcome. Kept up through the season, it lets a house set against the open plains feel anchored and settled.
