About Wind Swept Industries

Wind off the Rocky Mountain Front doesn't ask Choteau's permission before it moves a season's worth of snow from one side of a property to the other, scouring some fields bare while burying a driveway a few hundred yards away under a drift the size of a shed. Wind Swept Industries built its winter work around exactly that unevenness, clearing the pockets where the wind dumps everything it's carried rather than treating every property like it got the same storm. A field can look nearly clear from the road while the barnyard behind it hides four feet of packed snow against the north wall, and knowing the difference before showing up with equipment saves a lot of wasted time. The work runs on the Front's own schedule more than a calendar, since a wind event can undo a week of clear weather in an afternoon. Once the drifts are opened up, the ranch roads and driveways around Choteau stay passable until the wind decides to move things around again.
