Plenty of Butte lots are half rock — hardpan, old dump ground, a grade that sends every rain to the wrong corner. Scapeshift reshapes that: regrading, terracing, rock and gravel beds, plantings set where they'll actually take hold, and turf where turf makes sense. August is the honest month for it, ground dry and workable, thunderheads stacking over the Pintlers by late afternoon. A yard that has fought its owner for years can be re-cut in a week and behave from then on. Ground given a shape it can hold — that's the whole trade.
