The work draws on the same equipment and know-how the company uses for its excavation jobs — reading a slope, knowing where runoff pools, moving snow off a hill without just pushing the problem to the block below. Uptown's brick storefronts and the residential streets climbing above them both get the same treatment, cleared block by block until the grades are safe to drive again.
