About Do It All

West of town, where the valley opens toward Silver Bow Creek, the wind gets a long clean run at everything and a lawn has to be tough to hold its ground. Do It All takes the yards out that way in spring, when the grass comes up all at once and every property needs the winter grit raked out of it before the first real cut. The work is mowing, trimming and edging done in order and done all the way — around the shed, along the ditch line, past the gravel where the turf gives up and the sage begins. Clippings go with the truck rather than into the breeze. It's plain, useful work, and there is a lot of quiet pride in a wide open yard that finally looks squared up.
