About Alpine Tree Services

Butte stands high and hard against the Continental Divide, black headframes over Uptown and a wind that comes through them all winter long. Alpine Tree Services works the trees that have earned their place at this elevation, the spruce and aspen, the old elms and cottonwoods shading the steep streets below the hill. The work runs to removal when a tree has finally given in to the cold, trimming to keep limbs off roofs and alleys, and pruning that helps a crown carry a heavy spring snow instead of folding under it. When that snow comes wet in April and lays a branch across a driveway, storm damage cleanup is the first call of the morning. Everything grows slowly at a mile high, which is reason enough to cut with care.
