About Broadus Tree Service L.L.C. OWNER: John M. Brauneis IV

The Powder River is famously a mile wide and an inch deep, and in deep winter that thin water freezes into a white ribbon winding past Broadus. Broadus Tree Service L.L.C. clears snow in this town, opening drives and walks after storms sweep across the ranchland of Powder River County, and trees are its other trade, as the name says. In January the cottonwoods along the river stand bare and silver, branches bowed after a heavy, wet snowfall. When the blade bites down to frozen gravel and the drive meets the road again, a hard morning feels a little smaller. In a county seat set this far out on the plains, a clear way home matters.
