MowDaddy

About MowDaddy

Saturday morning, the shade of the buildings still stretches across the sidewalk and the day hasn't turned hot yet. MowDaddy is already three yards in by then, mowers running, the smell of cut grass following the trailer block to block across Bozeman. The work is straightforward and done all the way through: an even cut, string trimming around the meter and the mailbox post, a firm edge where lawn meets walk, and the hard surfaces blown clean before the gate closes. Homes and small businesses get the same treatment on the same steady weekly turn. There is a particular satisfaction in a street where the yards line up neat, one after another, all the way to the corner.
