Webb Auction Yard

About Webb Auction Yard

US 49E runs through Webb straight as a chalk line, and on either side the Delta lays itself out flat and wide beneath a sky that fills most of the view. Webb Auction Yard handles lawn care in this small Tallahatchie County town, keeping grass cut low and edges neat across the long, sticky growing season. By late summer crop dusters bank low over the fields and the cotton starts to open, but the grass along town streets never slows. Each pass leaves a lawn level, its edges pulled back from walks and drives so the lines run as true as the furrows beyond town. In country this open, a neatly kept yard can be seen from a long way off.
