About S & S Landscaping & Nursery, LLC

Steens sits east of Columbus where Highway 50 runs out between pine stands and open pasture, and the Buttahatchee bottoms keep the mornings cool and low with mist. S & S Landscaping & Nursery, LLC works this stretch of Lowndes County with mowing, edging along drives and walks, trimming out fence lines and bed borders, and clearing the leaves and limbs the river wind brings down. Country lots here run large and irregular, so the job is as much about shaping a property as cutting it. When the mowing is done and the borders are drawn, a place that had gone shaggy suddenly looks looked-after from the road. That change, week after week, is the whole craft.
