Big Yard Wark

About Big Yard Wark

Out past the pine flats north of St. Martin the lots run deep, and a yard that size asks for someone willing to make the long pass and then make it again. Big Yard Wark mows, trims and edges the kind of acreage where grass climbs fast in Mississippi heat and the cut line has to stay honest all the way to the treeline. Afternoons here build in a hurry — thunderheads stacking inland off the Gulf until the light turns green — so the work happens in the cool of the morning and the clippings come off the drive before the first drop lands. What's left reads as one piece: even height, a tight perimeter, edges pulled square to the mailbox post and the fence line. Come August, when everything wants to run wild, that discipline is the whole job. The same standard travels with them into Vancleave and D'Iberville.
