EXTREME OUTDOOR RIPLEY

About EXTREME OUTDOOR RIPLEY

By the middle of July, Ripley afternoons run hot and loud — cicadas in the pines, a thunderhead stacking up somewhere west toward Holly Springs. Grass grows fast in that weather. EXTREME OUTDOOR RIPLEY works the mowing, string trimming and blow-down that keeps up with it, week over week, through the long green stretch of a north Mississippi summer. Fence lines get cut back, hard surfaces get cleared, and the yard is put in order before the rain arrives to test it. There is real satisfaction in shutting the trailer gate on a street of finished lawns while the sky goes purple over the ridge.
