Lawn Routes

About Lawn Routes

A route through Pascagoula is its own kind of map: Telephone Road at seven, the older blocks off Market by nine, the last stop finished before the afternoon storm builds out over the Gulf. Lawn Routes runs that circuit, mowing, trimming and edging yard after yard so nobody has to wonder when the truck is coming. Beds get weeded, hedges get leveled, and every bit of cut grass gets blown back off the concrete. There is a quiet pleasure in a schedule that holds all the way through a Mississippi summer. The payoff is a whole street that looks like somebody is paying attention — because somebody is.
