Laurel Tree Garden Center

About Laurel Tree Garden Center

There is always one warm week in February around Oxford when camellias open, the ground gives a little underfoot, and half the county decides it is time to plant something. Laurel Tree Garden Center works from that impulse — setting trees and shrubs, laying out beds, mulching them in, and pruning what has outgrown its place. Regular mowing and maintenance keep the lawn around all that planting in proportion, cut even and edged along the walks. The red-clay hills of Lafayette County reward anything given decent soil and a little patience, and both are part of the job. A yard planted well in late winter is unrecognizable by the time the heat arrives.
