YARDBOYS

About YARDBOYS

The best hour in Olive Branch is the last one of daylight — heat finally lifting, the pond at the city park gone flat and silver, cicadas trading off with the frogs down toward Pigeon Roost Creek. YARDBOYS runs mowing, edging, string trimming and blow-off through the long green stretch of the year, then stays on the cleanup once the season turns over. A yard cut on time reads differently from the road: cut lines square to the walk, the curb strip trimmed clean to the concrete, no ragged corner where the fence meets the ditch. Summer storms come through hard and are gone in twenty minutes, and the route picks up again as soon as the ground firms under a tire. Steady hands, ordinary weeks, and a lawn that never gets away from you.
