Singleton’s Lawn Care

About Singleton’s Lawn Care

February in Natchez is camellias in bloom above dormant tan Bermuda — a strange, lovely pairing you only get this far south. Singleton's Lawn Care takes the cool season as seriously as the hot one: cutting back the last of the winter growth, clearing leaves out of beds and fence corners, trimming shrubs while they are bare enough to read, and edging the walks so the first green of March comes up against a line already drawn. Spring here arrives all at once, usually in the second week of March, and it belongs to whoever got ready in advance. Then the mowing starts and doesn't let up until the pecans turn. A lawn kept all year looks different from one rescued in May, and anybody who has seen both can tell.
