About Crane's Lawn and Maintenance, LLC

Come November the timber country around Monticello lets its color go — sweetgum first, then the oaks — and the leaves drift down over every yard between town and the river. Crane's Lawn and Maintenance, LLC keeps after them: mowing while the grass still asks for it, blowing walks and drives, clearing beds, tidying property lines back to where they belong. Lawrence County is a place of long gravel approaches and pine shadow, and a property looks after itself only until it doesn't. The pleasure of the job is in the after — the raked ground, the redrawn bed line, the driveway you can see the whole length of. Winter here stays mild and green in patches, so the work never fully stops, and neither does the routine.
