About Sunnydew Lawncare

Out toward Okatibbee the fog sits on the water at first light and does not lift until someone makes it. Sunnydew Lawncare is out in that hour, when centipede and St. Augustine are still silver with dew and the ground has not begun to bake. Cutting early is not only a kindness to the crew; grass takes a cleaner cut before the heat wilts it, and the lines hold. The work is straightforward and it is meant to be done well — mow, trim, edge, blow the walks clean, leave nothing behind but the smell of it. There is a particular pleasure in pulling away from a Meridian yard at eight in the morning with the whole thing already finished and the day still ahead.
