Southern Lawn Care

About Southern Lawn Care

Morning in Meridian arrives slow and gold, light sliding down the oaks of Highland Park while the old carousel still sleeps under its pavilion roof. Southern Lawn Care runs the mowers into that hour, when the Bermuda is heavy with dew and the day has not yet stood up in its heat. There is a plain satisfaction in a straight pass laid across a wide Lauderdale County yard, and in an edge along the walk cut clean enough to read like a pencil line. Trimming, blowing the drive down, shaping the hedges back off the porch rail — small work, done all the way through, so a house looks looked-after from the street. By noon, when the pavement shimmers out toward Poplar Springs, the yard is holding its shape and will hold it all week.
