About Forest Lawn Memory Gardens

In April the dogwoods open white across the grounds and the grass comes in fast after the first warm rain. Keeping this place is quiet work: mowing on a regular round, trimming close around markers and stones by hand, edging the drives and walks so the lines stay true. Beds and shrubs are tended through the season, with leaves and limbs cleared whenever the weather brings them down. People come here on ordinary Tuesdays as well as holidays, and the grounds should look ready either way. That is the whole of it — a well-kept lawn, and nothing out of place.
