Lawns R Us

About Lawns R Us

Late in a Simpson County afternoon the light goes long and gold across the side streets of Magee, and that is the hour a fresh cut shows best — every row standing apart, every border reading like a line someone drew on purpose. Lawns R Us works toward that: mowing, edging, trimming close around porch piers and crape myrtles, then putting the clippings back into the grass where they do some good. The pines will lay needles on the same walk by Thursday, so the job undoes itself and gets done again. There is no trick to a tidy yard, only the doing of it and then the doing of it again. Weathersby, Harrisville and Mount Olive fall inside the same day's driving.
