About Coastie Cut Lawn Co.

On a still morning the fog lies low across the pine flats along Highway 49, and the first mower of the day cuts a dark track through wet grass before the sun burns any of it off. Coastie Cut Lawn Co. likes that hour — cutting and edging early, trimming around posts and tree rings, hard surfaces cleared before the heat sets in for the rest of the day. Borders are held sharp along the walk, hedges are brought back off the windows, and the yard is left with one continuous line instead of a dozen ragged ones. When the leaves and pine straw pile up in the fall, that gets gathered and hauled rather than pushed to the ditch. This close to the coast the growing never really stops, so neither does the schedule.
