About Blackwells Land & Lawn Services

Head north from Long Beach and the town loosens into pine and palmetto, where a lot left alone for one season comes back as a thicket. Blackwells Land & Lawn Services works both ends of that: the weekly mown yard in town, and the overgrown acre that needs brush cut, the lot mowed and the fence line opened back up. There is a particular pleasure in the first pass across tall ground, watching the shape of the land come back out from under the growth. Closer in, the work is steadier — mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanup hauled off instead of piled at the curb. Land on this coast never stops trying to reclaim itself, and meeting it every few weeks is the whole trick.
