J&J Trim and Spray

About J&J Trim and Spray

Down in the Yockanookany bottoms the dew does not burn off until the sun clears the trees, and by then late May has pushed the grass and the weeds up together. J&J Trim and Spray sorts the two apart — mowing, trimming close along fences and foundations, and spraying weeds back out of the turf and the beds. It is patient work, done a strip at a time, and the result shows up slowly and then all at once: a lawn gone even and green with nothing volunteering through it. There is a particular pleasure in the last pass around a mailbox post, the trimmer easing off, the yard suddenly finished. Kosciusko summers run long enough to do the thing properly.
