Canton Landscape

About Canton Landscape

From September on, fog settles into the Coldwater bottoms below Hernando and does not lift until the sun has some height to it. Canton Landscape starts in that quiet, when the grass is silver with wet and sound carries a long way across the low ground. The work is steady and unhurried: mowing, cutting a true edge along beds and drives, tidying shrubs, clearing what falls. DeSoto County soil is good to grass and just as good to weeds, so a lawn kept on a rhythm looks different from one kept by rescue. When the fog burns off and the yard comes out from under it, trimmed and clear, that is the whole reward.
