The Lawn Whisperer

About The Lawn Whisperer

February on this coast is when the camellias let go and the azaleas start thinking about it, and a lawn will tell you what it wants if you slow down enough to notice. The Lawn Whisperer works Gulfport that way — reading the yard first, then mowing to the height the grass is actually asking for, edging clean along the drive, trimming close where a deck cannot reach. Winter dormancy is short-lived here; by March the color comes rushing back, and a lawn tended through the cool months comes back stronger for it. Beds get cleared, shrubs get shaped, and clippings are blown off every hard surface before the truck rolls. Quiet attention, week after week, is what turns an ordinary yard into one people slow down for.
