McRee’s Tree Service

About McRee’s Tree Service

Laurel was built out of yellow pine, and the town still smells faintly of it after rain, with big oaks arching over the old avenues and Tallahala Creek running dark at the edge of things. McRee's Tree Service keeps the balance those streets depend on: removals when a pine or oak has become more risk than shade, trimming to lift limbs off roofs and sidewalks, pruning that leaves a tree with a shape worth looking at. Jones County storms come out of the southwest, and pines catch wind like sails — storm damage cleanup here is a real trade, sectioning tops, opening drives, carrying off every stick of it. A yard that was chaos at breakfast can be swept and open by evening. That turn is what makes the day.
