Dusty's Lawn Care

About Dusty's Lawn Care

Chunky is a small place on a river with an old name, where the rail line still runs through and the water slides brown and easy beneath the trestle. Dusty's Lawn Care works these yards at first light, when fog is still lying low in the bottoms — mowing, string trimming, edging and hauling off the cuttings before the day turns heavy. Out here a lawn ends where the woods start, and keeping that boundary honest is most of the job. There is real pleasure in grass mown clean to the treeline, the fence rows trimmed out, nothing shaggy left behind to catch the eye. Around Chunky and over toward Hickory, Newton and Lake, that is the measure of a finished yard.
